Stroke Charity Walk 2025

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the Stroke Association of Kenya (SAoK) invites you to participate in the Stroke Charity Walk 2025.  This event aims to raise KSh 200 million to enhance fast responses to stroke incidences by offering timely  comprehensive treatment, rehabilitation, and support services.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, May 31, 2025
  • Time: 8:00 AM – 01:00 PM
  • Starting Point: Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi
  • Route: Proceed via Bunyala Roundabout to Uhuru Gardens
  • Distance: 5KM
  • Charges: Kshs 2,500 (Individuals), Kshs 500 (students)

Why Your Participation Matters

Support Stroke Patients and Their Families

Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability in Kenya, with approximately 15,895 deaths reported in 2020, accounting for 6.03% of total deaths.

Help Enhance Fast Response to Stroke Incidences

The initial treatment and care for a stroke can amount to approximately KSh 1 million, with post-treatment care, including rehabilitation and medications, ranging between KSh 100,000 to KSh 150,000 per month.
