About Stroke Association of Kenya (SAOK)

The Stroke Association of Kenya is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the impact of stroke on the Kenyan community. 

Founded in 2015, the organization aims to prevent stroke, provide high-quality treatment and care for stroke survivors, and support their families. Our team of experienced professionals works tirelessly to achieve this mission, through education and awareness programs, advocacy, and support services. 

We are committed to building a more inclusive and supportive society for stroke survivors and their families, and to improving the overall health and wellbeing of our community. Join us in our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by stroke in Kenya.

My Story

I am grateful to God for surviving a stroke attack in 2010, making me a survivor to this day, although it feels like it happened just yesterday. 

The experience was like going through hell and back. It was on Tuesday, 23rd March 2010, around 6 am when I was unable to prepare my bathwater as usual for unexplained reasons……………..

My Story

Greetings to my friends from all over the world. I would like to share my story with you. I used to work as a teacher at Light Academy, a well-known high school in Kenya that has a remarkable performance record in international examinations.

On June 9, 2012, we held a graduation ceremony which went on until late afternoon. I left the school feeling excited about what the future held, but little did I know that things were about to change.

 That evening, I went home and had a wonderful supper. The following morning, I woke up early to prepare for church. 

I attended the morning devotion as usual, which ended at 8 am. As I was walking back home with my friends, something unexpected happened…………………………………
